• Mapping - meta-data describing how the data model should obtain its information from the client's data warehouse (e.g. how to retrieve the data appropriate to sales analysis from your data warehouse of transactional information)

Templates are the business rules, whilst the Mapping provides the access rules. Interactive Reporting has these modularised and separated per instance. This permits the re-use of logic, and the provisioning of the Business Intelligence integration process by domain experts.
